This album page features another photo of my great-grandparents together and then two photos of friends.
The first photo is undated, but if it was taken near the time of the second photo, which is dated, then this photo predates my great-grandparents’ marriage. They do look quite young.

The second photo is of a friend, Florence Malan. It was taken 29 August 1915. A different photo of Florence was previously seen on page five of the album here.

The last photo is of Nell Berrett. A different photo of Nell and her cousin Arzone, apparently taken on the same day and in the same location, is seen on page eleven of the album here.

I am enjoying this album project so much. I love all of the candid photos. I feel like I am getting a more personalized look into the lives of my great-grandparents as young adults. Both Claude and Blanche were alive when I was born. I likely met them, but I don’t have any memories of either of them. I was two years old when Grandpa Claude passed away and almost eight years old when Grandma Blanche passed away. I do remember Grandma Blanche’s funeral. I’m thankful to be the current steward of this photo album and delighted to be sharing it with their descendants.
This post is part of a series sharing this wonderful old family photo album. You can learn more about the album here. A digital version of this photo album can be viewed on Flickr here.
Happy Monday, I hope you are all well and happy! xoxo
How lucky you are to have these photos! But I know you know that.
Yes, I do know that!! It’s such a privilege to be their current caretaker. ❤️❤️❤️
