Margaret Noble Bevans was born 13 January 1893 in Hyrum, Utah to Bertha Ann/Ane Huband & Corydon Henry Bevans. While still living at home, her family moved to California where it appears Margaret spent the rest of her life. At age 28 she married Lloyd Earl Neel. They had two children that I know of. Margaret died in 1978 in Turlock, California seven years after her husband passed.
Margaret was my great-grandmother’s first cousin making her my first cousin three times removed.
What a beautiful portrait of this cousin. I hope her descendants have a copy. If not, I hope they will find it here.

This is an absolutely stunning portrait. And I say that as a photographer 😀
Thank you, Su!! That is high praise indeed. I would add the qualifier that you are an incredibly talented photographer but I know you are too humble to label yourself that way. 😉
😊
Just lovely.
Thank you, Amy. ❤️
I seem to have lost track of you this summer & I not sure why. This is a beautiful photo. I wonder why no one has ever thought to use such a beautiful pose when photographing me!!
Margaret Bevans was my grandmother! She and my grandfather Earl Neel did have only two children: Marshall Corydon Neel (my father) and James William Neel. I can help you fill in many details you may be missing of this part of the family. I also have photos you may have if you like. I am an only child and my uncle Jim had no children – and you may be the most interested family member to take the old photos for your collection!
Wow! What a wonderful offer, Suzanne! I would be delighted and honored to take any photos you want to send my way. Feel free to send me an email and we can chat a bit (my email address is on the sidebar, just replace the {@} and {dot} with those characters and make it look like a normal email address). ❤️
