This page features more photos of the Bevans family in California.  The matriarch of the Bevans family is Bertha Ann Huband who is the sister of my 2nd great-grandfather, Heber Albert Huband.  Bertha is the aunt of Blanche Octavia Huband, the album creator.

The first photo contains the married couple, Corydon Henry Bevans Sr and Bertha Ann Huband in 1914 in California.  Notice the cute little pup in the grass to the right of Bertha.  This is likely the most recent photo of this couple in my collection as Corydon would pass the following year.

 

 

The second photo is only partially identified.  The woman on the left is Margaret Bevans, daughter of Corydon and Bertha.  I don’t recognize the woman on the right.  This photo was taken in 1915 in California.

 

 

The last photo is really quite special.  It includes the five living daughters of Corydon and Martha, Bertha “Bird” Elvira Bevans, Eliza Ann Bevans, Maude Grace Bevans, Margaret Noble Bevans, and Pearl Alma Bevans.  This photo was taken in May 1914 in California.

Happy Monday!  I hope you are healthy and safe.  The last few weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster at our house.  No one is ill but our poor home took a few beatings that kept us very busy.  Water leaks in the time of covid are rough!  All is well now, but I am stretched thin and trying to keep my children as happy as possible during these long, boring days at home.  We’ve been sewing face masks.  Well, I’ve been sewing face masks and they have helped a little.  We donated several to the local care center that is a few blocks away.  They are in desperate need and with so many elderly residents that we know and love, we wanted to help.  Hopefully, we can get many more made and delivered.  Stay safe!  xoxo
