John Lane Willis is my 1st cousin 3 times removed. He is the first cousin of the album’s creator, Blanche Octavia Huband.
Lane was born 19 June 1896 to Louise Delina Cheney & George Bloomfield Willis at Laketown, Rich, Utah. On 3 September 1918, he enlisted in the US Army. He was honorably discharged 20 January 1919. Almost three years later, on 9 January 1922, he married Hannah Lillian Gheen. Together they had at least five children. Lane died 8 March 1983, almost 13 months after Hannah passed.
