I love this album page so much. Toddler Beth was adorable!
Beth Louise Ellis was the oldest child of my great-grandparents, Claude and Blanche. Beth was born 17 March 1919 in North Ogden, Weber, Utah.
The photos on this page are labeled simply “Beth.”
Based on Beth’s apparent age, the empty branches on the trees, and the lack of snow, it seems likely these photos were taken in about October or November of 1920.
To test my theory, I requested weather data for September through November of 1920 for North Ogden from NOAA. It turns out the Fall of 1920 was quite warm in North Ogden. The average high in November was 54° F. Surprisingly, the high on November 21st was 84° F! The following day saw a high of 76° F. I wonder if these photos were taken on one of those very warm November days?
I love the stroller and the details on Beth’s little shoes!
