Dale Huband Ellis is my GrandUncle, son of my great-grandparents Claude Albert Ellis & Blanche Octavia Huband. Dale was their second child and only son. He seems so mild-mannered, doesn’t he?
This photo comes from the sixth page of the album. I did not share photos six through ten as they contain living people. Here are pages four and five, followed by pages six and seven to give context for this photo:
This post is part of a series sharing this wonderful old family photo album. You can learn more about the album here. Living descendants of Darwin & Beth, or Dale & Jean, please feel free to contact me to obtain scans of the photos that contain living family members. My email address is on the sidebar. 🙂
From his photo, it looks like ‘Harry Potter’ was patterned after him!
Haha! I hadn’t noticed… but now that you mention it – I totally see it!! 🙂
hehe. I was thinking exactly the same.
I love it! I hadn’t noticed before but now I TOTALLY see it. 🙂
He looks very kind. What do you know about him?
He does, doesn’t he? Not a lot. I grew up in Washington and only saw him a few times when we would come to Utah to visit my grandparents. He was a math teacher, he had seven children, he was in the Navy during WWI and was missing for a time… I think. I wish I knew him better. He passed away in 2014.
Perhaps his children have some insights.
Yes, and his youngest sister who is still alive. She just got back from spending a few years in Hawaii as a missionary, we are planning to get together soon. 🙂
Definitely Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter).
Right? 🙂
You are so lucky to have these albums. My in-laws threw all photos away when grandmother had to go to a rest home. I have an album of pictures that my dad took of his large Italian family & I treasure it.
Thank you, Nancy, I feel so fortunate that so many treasures survived and made their way to me! <3
Great photograph. And yes a Harry Potter look alike more than a Daniel Radcliffe lookalike.
Thank you, Janice! 🙂
