These lovely photos of this couple are part of a single sheet of images like this:
I am sooooooooo glad that great-grandma wrote this note on the back. “Lydia lived in Shelley Idaho when she & I were small (Blanche)”. Thank you, Great-Grandma Ellis, for those details! I was so glad to know she wasn’t a relative and saved myself some tree digging.
This photo comes from the thirty-fifth page of the album. Here are pages thirty-four and thirty-five to give context for this photo:

If only everyone labeled all their photos….
Right?! It makes me want to get a bit more serious about the photos from my own lifetime. 😉
I know….I should also. But who has time!?
Right?! I’m trying to a bit at a time. I love the FamilySeach app. Just last night I was looking at some photos and came across one that I LOVE of my little one and my Dad. I added that right to FamilySearch, tagged it, labeled it and felt great about preserving that sweet little memory. I know I have mounds to do, but each favorite photo saved feels like a small victory. 😉
I need to scan mine and then I can save them with labels. But ugh—scanning is so boring! 🙂
Haha, yes it is! I need to scan a bunch too. 😉
Amy is right of course, though I do rather enjoy the detective work unlabelled photos engender.
Except when they are my photos — naturally. 😂😂
😂😂😂 I get it! I love solving mysteries too. 😉
I better get busy & label the photos that I haven’t previously done!! I am the youngest of the youngest & that isn’t too young anymore!!
That is a very important project! I wish you good luck with your efforts Nancy. ❤️
I love to find out as much as possible about the people in old family photos. This was a great post. https://noelliesplace.com/2019/02/13/little-boy-bobby/
