What a cool photo! My great-grandfather Francis Henry Duval took the photo and described it as “Looking up a rock pile.”
My great-grandmother was a professional photographer. Before that, my great-grandfather studied photography and practiced. Then he shared his knowledge with great-grandma and his sister. He preferred the darkroom. This lovely image of my Grandma and her brother was one of his practice shots.
