I grew up in the great state of Washington. Here are a few things I love about Washington:
- It has a fabulous name – George Washington – love that guy!
- It is beautiful there. Mountains, forests, desert, snow, big rivers, ocean.
- Great schools.
- Most of my family lives there.
- And…they have an awesome, FREE, state archives website!

If you don’t have family from Washington State, you can borrow one of mine. Go to the website and search for Alice Duval. View the institution record. That’s my 2nd great grandma – she’s the same Alice Hyde Duval I mentioned in this post. I really want to know the rest of that story!
