Ellis Album, Photo 56 – Aunt Blanche with a Smile

Blanche Lenore Cheney

Blanche Lenore Cheney is my 2nd great-grandaunt.  This is the second photo of her in this album.  In fact, both photos are on the same page, separated by a few other photos.

In the previous photo, there is something about her expression that made me think she was fun to be around.  In this photo, we see her with a full smile.  I have a feeling I am right and that she was a lot of fun.  🙂

  1. I think you are right about her being a lot of fun. Compared to the other photo of her this would be my favorite. In the other it looks like she is trying to be serious but a tiny smile got through.

  2. She does have an impish grin—I agree. It’s so unusual to see people with a full smile like that in formal photos. Good for Blanche!
