I would add to this thought that the same applies to families. There is strength that comes from knowing our past. Knowing about our ancestors – their struggles, triumphs, sacrifices, and values – is a powerful thing. A family strengthening thing. A society enriching thing. Knowledge and remembering make us stronger.
